From my heart to yours, please make happy memories for your family and friends during the holidays in spite of all the chaos and discouragement that surrounds us. It truly is a privilege to be a member of the restored gospel. We have all we need to be a light to others at this time! Merry Christmas. I have been working on a new project dissecting the Book of Revelation verse-by-verse with the footnotes driving the interpretation. It will be similar to the Daniel project I did a few months back. You can let the footnotes drive the interpretation and you can have confidence that having a modern prophet do a New Testament translation (JST) that you can trust the interpretations. When it is finished, I will post it here for you to download, and put it in the "free books" section. In the meantime, enjoy this snippet! If you received this earlier this week, there have been some layout changes to make it flow better. When you layout the chapters, you can see the order of events! Elder Bruce R. McConkie made the same observation. General layout of the Book of Revelation: 1-3 Letters to the 7 churches. 4-6 Sees a book with 7 seals; 7 periods on the earth, describes first 5 periods. 7 The Restoration of the Gospel, the sealing of the 144k are in the 6th seal. 8 ½ hr. silence in heaven, then 7 trumpets are in the 7th seal (We have not started the trumpets.) 9 3 Woes (plagues and wars) that will lead to the Second Coming. 10 John’s mission (Restoration of the 10 Tribes) 11 Two prophets sent to Jerusalem to hold off the world's army. Armageddon. 12 Woman and Stars sign in heaven. Satan is after the woman (woman is restored church). 13 A Beastly System is formed on the earth. The Mark of the Beast is implemented. 14 Christ with 144k on Mt. Zion (Church of Firstborn is established.) 15 Saints overcome the beast and false prophet; angels prepare to pour out the vials of plagues. 16 Angels start vials, Armageddon commences. 17 The wickedness of Babylon. Followers will war among themselves. 18 Saints called out of Babylon, God decrees Babylon to fall. 19 Marriage Supper (AOA) Beast and false prophet thrown in lake of fire. 20 Satan is bound. Resurrection. The Millennium opens. 21 Christ will dwell in New Jerusalem. Tree of Life is there. 22 The angels confirm what John testified of. This is also the general layout of the order of events! We are given some timing clues in Rev 13 and 11 and 16.
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. 12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Both periods of time are 3.5 years in duration. These are two separate time periods. They total 7 years of tribulation. We will start the tribulation timer when the last president #8 of a mighty nation (America) is in office. We have to go to Daniel 8:21 and Daniel 11:2 to understand who is the first of the last eight presidents. Daniel 8:21 - And the rough goat is the king of Grecia [America]: and the great horn that is between is eyes is the first king [president]. Daniel 11:2 will also give a clue. 2 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia [Middle East]; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. [The richest of all is the Ayatollah Khamenei. This is who stirred up the Gulf War.] President Bush, Sr., is the first president in the last eight presidents, he is the first U.S. president to go to war in the Middle East. Both John, Esdras, and Daniel saw these presidents and gave similar descriptions. It is the appearance of Jesus Christ made to the Saints [after being driven into the wilderness] in New Jerusalem that bridges the two 3.5 year periods of tribulation. The appearance is to establish the Church of the Lamb (Firstborn) and is not to be confused with a later appearance at Adam-ondi-Ahman where there is a transfer of priesthood keys back to the Savior just prior to his rescuing the Jewish nation and ending Armageddon. It is he 8th King [president] who drives the Saints into the wilderness. Daniel 7:21 (21a goes to Rev. 12:8-17) We are currently at president #6. Then #7 will die within a few days according to Daniel and John. Once “in the wilderness” the “Servant” will arrive and prophesy to the nations (Rev 10:11), the building of New Jerusalem will commence and the Savior will be in the midst of them, and the 10 Tribes will begin returning. 1 Nephi 14:13-14 13 And it came to pass that I beheld that the great mother of abominations did gather together multitudes upon the face of all the earth, among all the nations of the Gentiles, to fight against the Lamb of God. 14 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church of the Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, who were scattered upon all the face of the earth; and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory. [Note: President Nelson said in April Conference 2021 that we would have front row seats to what Nephi saw.] 3 Nephi 21:8-26 8 And when that day shall come, it shall come to pass that kings [world leaders] shall shut their mouths; for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider. 9 For in that day, for my sake shall the Father work a work, which shall be a great and a marvelous work among them; and there shall be among them those who will not believe it, although a man shall declare it unto them. 10 But behold, the life of my servant shall be in my hand; therefore they shall not hurt him, although he shall be marred because of them. Yet I will heal him, for I will show unto them that my wisdom is greater than the cunning of the devil. 11 Therefore it shall come to pass that whosoever will not believe in my words, who am Jesus Christ, which the Father shall cause him to bring forth unto the Gentiles, and shall give unto him power that he shall bring them forth unto the Gentiles, (it shall be done even as Moses said) they shall be cut off from among my people who are of the covenant. 12 And my people who are a remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles, yea, in the midst of them as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, if he go through both treadeth down and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. 13 Their hand shall be lifted up upon their adversaries, and all their enemies shall be cut off. 14 Yea, wo be unto the Gentiles except they repent; for it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Father, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots; 15 And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strongholds; 16 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thy land, and thou shalt have no more soothsayers; 17 Thy graven images I will also cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee, and thou shalt no more worship the works of thy hands; 18 And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee; so will I destroy thy cities. 19 And it shall come to pass that all lyings, and deceivings, and envyings, and strifes, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, shall be done away. 20 For it shall come to pass, saith the Father, that at that day whosoever will not repent and come unto my Beloved Son, them will I cut off from among my people, O house of Israel; 21 And I will execute vengeance and fury upon them, even as upon the heathen, such as they have not heard. 22 But if they will repent and hearken unto my words, and harden not their hearts, I will establish my church among them, [Church of the Firstborn] and they shall come in unto the covenant and be numbered among this the remnant of Jacob, unto whom I have given this land for their inheritance; 23 And they shall assist my people, the remnant of Jacob, and also as many of the house of Israel as shall come, that they may build a city, which shall be called the New Jerusalem. 24 And then shall they assist my people that they may be gathered in, who are scattered upon all the face of the land, in unto the New Jerusalem. 25 And then shall the power of heaven come down among them; and I also will be in the midst. 26 And then shall the work of the Father commence at that day, even when this gospel shall be preached among the remnant of this people. Verily I say unto you, at that day shall the work of the Father commence among all the dispersed of my people, yea, even the tribes which have been lost, which the Father hath led away out of Jerusalem. Here’s how the Lord describes the Church of the Firstborn. D&C 76: 53-67 53 And who overcome by faith, and are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, which the Father sheds forth upon all those who are just and true. 54 They are they who are the church of the Firstborn. 55 They are they into whose hands the Father has given all things-- 56 They are they who are priests and kings, who have received of his fulness, and of his glory; 57 And are priests of the Most High, after the order of Melchizedek, which was after the order of Enoch, which was after the order of the Only Begotten Son. 58 Wherefore, as it is written, they are gods, even the sons of God-- 59 Wherefore, all things are theirs, whether life or death, or things present, or things to come, all are theirs and they are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s. 60 And they shall overcome all things. 61 Wherefore, let no man glory in man, but rather let him glory in God, who shall subdue all enemies under his feet. 62 These shall dwell in the presence of God and his Christ forever and ever. 63 These are they whom he shall bring with him, when he shall come in the clouds of heaven to reign on the earth over his people. 64 These are they who shall have part in the first resurrection. 65 These are they who shall come forth in the resurrection of the just. 66 These are they who are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly place, the holiest of all. 67 These are they who have come to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of Enoch, and of the Firstborn. Here’s what D&C 77:9 and D&C 77:11 say about when and why we become translated. D&C 77:9. What Is the Significance of the Angel from the East Sealing the Servants of God? The four angels who are given power over the earth are kept from sending forth desolations upon the earth until God’s servants are sealed in their foreheads. The Prophet Joseph Smith taught that this sealing “signifies sealing the blessing upon their heads, meaning the everlasting covenant, thereby making their calling and election sure” (Teachings, p. 321). D&C 77:11. Who Are the 144,000? “Before the Lord shall come … there is to be a great work among the nations. … The ten tribes will have to come forth and come to this land, to be crowned with glory in the midst of Zion by the hands of the servants of God, even the Children of Ephraim; and twelve thousand High Priests will be elected from each of these ten tribes, as well as from the scattered tribes, and sealed in their foreheads, and will be ordained and receive power to gather out of all nations, kindreds, tongues and people as many as will come unto the general assemblage of the Church of the first-born.” (Orson Pratt, in Journal of Discourses, 16:325.) Elder Orson Pratt gave this additional explanation: “When the Temple is built [in the New Jerusalem] the sons of the two Priesthoods [Melchizedek and Aaronic] … will enter into that Temple … and all of them who are pure in heart will behold the face of the Lord and that too before he comes in his glory in the clouds of heaven, for he will suddenly come to his Temple, and he will purify the sons of Moses and of Aaron, until they shall be prepared to offer in that Temple an offering that shall be acceptable in the sight of the Lord. In doing this, he will purify not only the minds of the Priesthood in that Temple, but he will purify their bodies until they shall be quickened, and renewed and strengthened, and they will be partially changed, not to immortality, but changed in part that they can be filled with the power of God, and they can stand in the presence of Jesus, and behold his face in the midst of that Temple. “This will prepare them for further ministrations among the nations of the earth, it will prepare them to go forth in the days of tribulation and vengeance upon the nations of the wicked, when God will smite them with pestilence, plague and earthquake, such as former generations never knew. Then the servants of God will need to be armed with the power of God, they will need to have that sealing blessing pronounced upon their foreheads that they can stand forth in the midst of these desolations and plagues and not be overcome by them. When John the Revelator describes this scene he says he saw four angels sent forth, ready to hold the four winds that should blow from the four quarters of heaven. Another angel ascended from the east and cried to the four angels, and said, ‘Smite not the earth now, but wait a little while.’ ‘How long?’ ‘Until the servants of our God are sealed in their foreheads.’ What for? To prepare them to stand forth in the midst of these desolations and plagues, and not be overcome. When they are prepared, when they have received a renewal of their bodies in the Lord’s temple, and have been filled with the Holy Ghost and purified as gold and silver in a furnace of fire, then they will be prepared to stand before the nations of the earth and preach glad tidings of salvation in the midst of judgments that are to come like a whirlwind upon the wicked.” (In Journal of Discourses, 15:365–66.) For the last 1,260 days while the two prophets who have been sent from New Jerusalem, the Lord’s Church of the Firstborn will be underway while Babylon falls, the wicked will fight among themselves, the wicked will destroy the wicked, and the followers of the Beast and False Prophet will be thrown into the pit they digged for us. 1 Nephi 22:13-19 13 And the blood of that great and abominable church, which is the whore of all the earth, shall turn upon their own heads; for they shall war among themselves, and the sword of their own hands shall fall upon their own heads, and they shall be drunken with their own blood. 14 And every nation which shall war against thee, O house of Israel, shall be turned one against another, and they shall fall into the pit which they digged to ensnare the people of the Lord. And all that fight against Zion shall be destroyed, and that great whore, who hath perverted the right ways of the Lord, yea, that great and abominable church, shall tumble to the dust and great shall be the fall of it. 15 For behold, saith the prophet, the time cometh speedily that Satan shall have no more power over the hearts of the children of men; for the day soon cometh that all the proud and they who do wickedly shall be as stubble; and the day cometh that they must be burned. 16 For the time soon cometh that the fulness of the wrath of God shall be poured out upon all the children of men; for he will not suffer that the wicked shall destroy the righteous. 17 Wherefore, he will preserve the righteous by his power, even if it so be that the fulness of his wrath must come, and the righteous be preserved, even unto the destruction of their enemies by fire. Wherefore, the righteous need not fear; for thus saith the prophet, they shall be saved, even if it so be as by fire. 18 Behold, my brethren, I say unto you, that these things must shortly come; yea, even blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke must come; and it must needs be upon the face of this earth; and it cometh unto men according to the flesh if it so be that they will harden their hearts against the Holy One of Israel. 19 For behold, the righteous shall not perish; for the time surely must come that all they who fight against Zion shall be cut off. President Nelson stated, "Dear friends, the road ahead may be bumpy, but our destination is serene and secure. So, fasten your seatbelt, hang on through the bumps, and do what's right. Your reward will be eternal."
